Parcel Tax Invoices mailed February 4, 2019 – Payment due March 11, 2019

On February 4, 2019, North Salt Spring Waterworks District (NSSWD) mailed parcel tax invoices to property owners. NSSWD invoices for parcel taxes once per year. Please note that your NSSWD parcel taxes are separate from property taxes invoiced by other agencies such as the Capital Regional District and the Provincial Government.

Important Dates:

Parcel taxes are due and payable on or before March 11, 2019. Payment must be received in the District office by 4:00 pm on the due date. An additional percentage of 10% will be added to all 2019 amounts remaining unpaid after the said date.

An additional 5% will be added to all 2019 amounts remaining unpaid after May 31, 2019

An additional 5% will be added to all 2019 amounts remaining unpaid after August 31, 2019

Paying Online:

Please note that your water toll invoices and parcel tax invoices have different account numbers. Please ensure you have set up a “payee” for each account number.

Your parcel tax account number for online banking purposes is your folio number excluding the 764 and any periods. For example, your folio is 764.001234.001. Your online account number would be 001234001.  Some banks may require that you add or delete a zero (0) at the beginning.

Your payment must be received at our bank by the due date. Online payments can take one to seven business days to be received by our bank. You must allow for this to ensure that your payment is received by the due date. Penalties apply if your payment is not received at our bank before the penalty dates.

Paying Over The Phone:

Customers can call the office and pay over the phone using their Mastercard or Visa.  Your credit card information is not retained by us.

Paying By Mail:

Customers can send a cheque in the mail with their payment stub.  Your payment must be received at our office by the due date. Payments sent by mail can take one to fifteen business days to be received at our office. You must allow for this to ensure that your payment is received by the due date. Penalties apply if your payment is not received at our office before the penalty date.

Paying In Person:

Customers can pay at the district office from Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 4:30pm, by Mastercard, Visa, Debit, Cash or Cheque.  If it is outside office hours, you can put a cheque in the drop box to be processed on the next business day.

We also take post-dated cheques so that you don’t have to worry about the mail getting to us on time.
